The Ceph community is made up of many individuals with a wide variety of backgrounds, from FOSS hacker to corporate architect. We feel very fortunate to have such a great, and active, community. We welcome anyone who would like to get more involved with the project, below are a few ways to get started.
The Ceph community covers a wide array of things, from events like Ceph Days and Cephalocon, to the governance of the project. Getting involved with the community by giving presentations of your experience with Ceph is often the easiest way of getting more involved with Ceph. For more information contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
If your contributions will be primarily code-related. We invite you to join our monthly ‘Ceph Developer Monthly’ (CDM) status call.
The Ceph team is made up on Component Technical Leads (CTLs), which take charge of the core components of Ceph (RADOS, RGW, RBD, etc), as well as a team of maintainers which manage everything from infrastructure to technically-related projects like ceph-ansible.
The Ceph community participates in a wide variety of events including Ceph Days, Cephalocon, conferences, meetups, and more. Check out our upcoming events and come meet some of the people that make our community so great.
